MEET THE CERAMIST

First and Foremost, I give all the glory to God for the experiences, opportunities, and talents He has given me throughout my life and career.
 
I truly believe that exceptional esthetics begin not when a design is made, wax is placed, porcelain is layered or zirconia is milled—they begin with an artist's eye.
Long before I entered the dental profession, I developed a passion for the visual arts through drawing, painting, sculpture, metalwork, and jewelry making. Those disciplines cultivated an appreciation for proportion, light, texture, color, and form—the same artistic principles that continue to define truly lifelike dental restorations.
 
That passion led me to becoming a dental laboratory technician in the United States Air Force. After graduating as Honor Graduate from Basic Military Training, I completed military dental laboratory training, where precision, discipline, and uncompromising attention to detail became the foundation of my career.

 

While serving in an award-winning Air Force dental facility with an advanced Dental residency program, I worked alongside prosthodontists and Dental specialists restoring some of the military's most complex cases. Seeking to further refine my skills, I was selected to attend the USAF Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics course, an intensive program developed exclusively for trained dental laboratory technicians.

Upon graduation, I was honored to receive the Distinguished Graduate Award in recognition of technical excellence, craftsmanship, professionalism, and leadership, as part of the AirForce "whole-person concept" of  INTEGRITY, SERVICE BEFORE SELF, and EXCELLENCE IN ALL WE DO.

During this time, I also trained under a maxillofacial prosthodontist, fabricating prosthetic eyes, palatal obturators, and other maxillofacial prostheses for patients requiring complex rehabilitation, while also producing specialized earpieces for United States Secret Service personnel and custom facemasks for the Base Fire Department. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the precision, function, and profound impact exceptional prosthetics can have on patients' lives.

Following my military service, I dedicated more than two decades to refining my expertise in fixed prosthodontic ceramics. My career has included positions at nationally recognized dental laboratories, including serving as Lead Ceramist for one of only two AACD-accredited dental ceramists in Virginia. Throughout that time, I led ceramic teams, managed crown and bridge departments, mentored technicians, and helped restore thousands of smiles.

Those experiences shaped a simple philosophy: Exceptional dentistry is achieved when exceptional clinicians and exceptional technicians pursue the same standard of excellence.

This philosophy became the foundation of Lexadent Studio.

The Philosophy Behind LexaDent

LexaDent Studio is the culmination of more than two decades in dental technology and a desire to build a laboratory around the values that matter most to me: Faith, Family, Integrity, Craftsmanship and Personal Experience.

LexaDent Studio was intentionally created as a boutique ceramic laboratory—not a production laboratory. That distinction allows me to provide my clinicians with immediate professional support and a genuine personal experience.
I am YOUR Ceramist.
When we discuss a case, it will not be handed off. I personally ensure every restoration is individually crafted with meticulous attention to detail, guided by facial esthetics, tooth morphology, natural color theory, and the unique goals of both the clinician and the patient.
By combining traditional ceramic artistry with advanced digital workflows, I strive to create restorations that are functional, naturally lifelike, and esthetic.

Whether collaborating on a single anterior veneer or a comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation, every case receives the same level of care, precision, and craftsmanship. I measure success not by the number of restorations produced, but by the confidence and joy a patient gains when they smile with a new smile, the trust a clinician places in my work, and the lasting partnerships built through consistency, craftsmanship, and shared excellence.

Beyond The Laboratory

While dentistry has been a major part of my life for more than two decades, my Faith and Family are at the center of who I am.

I am truly and deeply grateful for all of the experiences, abilities and opportunities God has given me, and I believe those gifts come with a responsibility to use them with purpose and integrity.

My wife and family have been an integral part of the journey that led to LexaDent Studio. Without them, none of it would have been possible. This laboratory represents far more to me than simply owning a business and providing for my family. It is an opportunity to build something meaningful, founded on Faith, Family, Craftsmanship, Integrity and Relationships.

Those values influence the way I approach both my work and the people I work with. I believe in doing what is right when no one is watching, treating every case as if there is a person behind it - because there is, and serving my clinicians with the same care and respect I would want extended to my family.

Above all, I give God all the glory for the up and down, winding path that brought me here and for the opportunity to use the talents He has given me to serve others.
